The Pitt Plastic Surgery Files: Hollywood’s Worst-Kept Secret

Normally at celebrity red carpet events, all the talk is centered around what celebrities are wearing. However, At the last Golden Globe awards, there was one celebrity in particular that everyone could not stop talking about.

Both Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie showed-up to the event looking a bit…er…refreshed, but it was Pitt in particular that really got people talking. The moment he strolled-up to the red carpet, event goers were shocked – Pitt appeared to have taken about twenty years off for his face!

In traditional Hollywood style, the Pitt camp is attributing Pitt’s new, rested and refreshed look to diet, skin care treatments, and vitamin IV drips. Because, of course. Isn’t that the Hollywood stock response to obvious cosmetic work? It’s the “oh I drink a lot of water and do yoga” answer that celebs have been wielding about for the past few decades it isn’t any more believable now that it was twenty years ago.

Here is the official line that Pitt’s camp is selling, as told to Life & Style magazine.

An insider close to Brad reveals in that for the past several months, Brad has been on an intense anti-aging regimen that includes a new diet, expensive skin care treatments and even IV vitamin drips!

He’s been telling friends about his new anti-aging plan. He’s been doing it with the help of a nutritionist and a personal chef. His new diet is heavy on salmon, walnuts and chia seeds, which are high in omega-3 fatty acids to combat wrinkles, plus lean meats and eggs, which provide amino acids to help repair damaged skin cells, according to the insider. Other staples in Brad’s strict regimen are brown rice and beets, since they are high in phytoceramides, which many people take as supplements to keep skin hydrated and plump.

Do we believe that Pitt engages in a program of aggressive anti-aging treatments? The texture of the skin on his face alone has morphed from a craggy, character-filled landscape to baby’s butt smooth, something that despite the claims being made by various sources, is really only achievable through things like laser peels, fillers, and yes, surgery.

What is also notable about Pitt’s “new” face is that in addition to the baby-smooth texture, there has also been a complete disappearance of the lines around his mouth (often called “marionette” lines), as well as a tightening-up of the jowel and neck area (the “turkey neck”). This is something that may not have been apparent in recent years, as Pitt had been sporting quite a bit of facial hair for the last few years.

Dr. Anthony Youn, a Michigan plastic surgeon (who has not treated Pitt), had this to say about some of the less-invasive aspects of his new look.

He appears to have had a filler injected into his frown lines, and I suspect a touch of Botox around his eyes. It appears he may have also had some laser resurfacing.

So why would such a hi-profile celeb be driven to seek a change that is so drastic, it made the 50 year-old star look younger than Ryan Gosling, his 35 year-old co-presenter at the Golden Globes? One insider gave the National Enquirer the inside scoop.

Brad was really upset when he saw ‘The Big Short’ on the big screen. Everyone laughed, because Brad had grown that beard, so it was pretty natural for him to look a lot older. But he was really upset because he’s grown a beard before for a movie, but this was the first time that the facial hair showed off all the lines on his brow. Then he showed up at the ‘By The Sea’ premiere looking all puffed up, which was kind of sad.

It looks like Brad got that plastic surgery fixed — or at least it settled down nicely. He looks a little too young now, but he’s probably thrilled.

Does Pitt look “too young”, as the source observed? Probably. But there’s no denying that whatever he’s had done, it’s been done really well.

As for the “company line” of IV vitamin drips, hydration, and a diet rich in salmon and nuts? Meh. Maybe not so much, but here is what Dr. Ava Shamban, cosmetic dermatology guru to the stars (who does not treat Pitt) had to say about the whole thing .

What you put in your mouth shows on your skin. His diet will help Brad’s skin repair itself.

Yep. Diet and vitamins matter, and will help your skin heal. The real question however, is heal from what?

A). A facelift.
