Let’s face it, ladies – men get jealous pretty damn often, and usually, it’s petty stuff that makes them go crazy. However, most of them aren’t really insecure. They’re not afraid their girlfriend’s gonna dump them all of a sudden either. Not at all.

On the contrary, these unexpected bouts of jealousy are actually an effect of testosterone (duh!), which makes men more eager to crush all their so-called competition, even when they’re not competing with anyone at all. In other words, whenever a guy senses even the most insignificant threat to his position as your significant other, there’s every likelihood that he’s already playing out potential murder scenarios in his head. Just kidding.
Or maybe I’m not. 😂 Anyway, every person acts in their own unique way, but some of our actions will make pretty much make every boyfriend in the world jealous. How am I so sure of that? All right, this one’s quite obvious, because frankly, no man is ever going to be 100% sure that you and your friend are ‘just friends.’ He’s probably going to make light of the situation and try to pretend that he likes the guy, but don’t be surprised if he makes a snarky comment all of a sudden while the three of you are hanging out together. No matter how platonic your friendship with your bestie may be, your boyfriend will still be wary of the lad at all times.

What if he starts flirting with you? What if sends you all those sweet heart emoji? Of course, jealousy will ensue, and this time, it’s not even an unexpected thing.

If you were wondering what your boyfriend’s answer to that question would be, I can already tell you that it’s going to be either a straight-out ‘No’ or an ironic ‘Yeah, tell me.’ And guess why he’d answer in such a fashion? Because he’s jealous, of course, and because you keep saying these dudes’ names as if they were your friends. Which they’re most definitely not.

More often than not, celebrity crushes are nothing but innocent (unless you’re one of those crazy fangirls who breaks into stars’ hotel rooms), but even if your boyfriend knows it, he’s still going to resent hearing you talk about how hot Ryan Gosling is. The thing is that he’s probably aware of how good-looking that man is too, and this makes it twice as awkward for him.
So yeah, I guess you could easily say that men are one really jealous flock. The only reason why they don’t act like drama queens – or should I say drama kings? – is that deep down, they are fully aware of how much their girlfriends love them. In the end, it doesn’t really matter who you’re texting or cracking jokes with at work. As long as your love for him just as strong, you can be sure that it’s all going to be just fine.
